What data we process and why
Bookings: name, email, phone, country, dates, number of guests and payment details, to manage your booking and stay. Legal basis: performance of the accommodation contract.
Guest registration: on arrival we will ask for an ID document for each guest, because Spanish law requires accommodation providers to report this data to the authorities. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Email enquiries: the details you send us, so we can reply. Legal basis: your consent when you write to us.
Marketing emails: only if you have given us your explicit consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How long we keep it
Booking data for as long as needed to manage the booking and then for the periods required by law (tax and accounting, generally six years). Guest registration data for the three years set by the regulations. Enquiries until they are resolved.
Who we share it with
Lodgify, our booking platform, and its payment provider, which processes card payments. HiBcn never sees or stores your full card details.
The authorities, where required by law (guest registration, tax office).
The technical providers that run the website and email, who only process data on our behalf.
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to or restrict its processing, or ask for data portability by emailing admin [at] hibcn.com. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
